Best jump starter with wireless charging

In this post, we are going to review two of the best jump starters with wireless charging for your car and phones. They are the Yaber and Beatit models.

Over the past few years, there has been a huge amount of development going into the design of the humble jump starter. First was the implementation of the lithium-ion battery, then came USB port charging, and now wireless charging.

Jumpstarters have gone from a huge device that sits in the boot of your car to a slick lightweight power machine. It’s no wonder they have become a necessity in everyone’s vehicles.

I have chosen the Utrai jump starter with wireless charging for my cars and Jet-ski.

Which Jump Starter with Wireless Charging?

Best Jump Starter with Wireless Charging Yaber 2500A

Out of the two wireless Jump starters mentioned here, I went with the UTRAI model. At the time I was looking for one it was cheaper and has better specifications.

It has a much larger internal battery and has extra starting capacity. Not that you really need it as 2500 amps can jump-start just about anything.

I like that the UTRAI jump starter comes with an EC-5 lighter adapter so you can run portable devices such as an air-compressor, GPS, computer, car vacuum cleaner, or a small car refrigerator.

This is important if out in remote areas as most cars and boats will have this type of connection.

With the children all grown up now and having their own cars, it was time to give them all some safety devices for their vehicles.

This year we decided to give them each a new Jump Starter with wireless charging capabilities. This solves two problems:

  • Emergency jump starter for their cars
  • Wireless portable chargers for their Android and Apple iPhones.

The cool thing about the wireless charger is, never again have to look for a charging cable. Just place the smartphone on the jump starter and watch the phone magically charge up.

I must say that the UTRAI wireless jump starter is huge. This is due to the large internal lithium-ion battery and high output peak amps rating. It makes my other pocket jump starters look like toys.

The included carry case protects the Yaber wireless jump starter and holds all the accessories together in the pockets.

We proved that it works by connecting it up to a drained Sea-doo Jetski battery out at the boat ramp one day and fired it up fast. The LCD display shows the remaining battery voltage levels.

The jump start cables plug into the side of the Yaber unit. The cables also hold some safety circuits to protect your car and the powerful jump starter.

Can this jump starter start a car without the battery connected?

Yes the UTRAI Jstar 4 can start a car with the battery leads disconnected. You may need to do this if the battery has an internal fault like a short circuit.

Why is my jump starter beeping

Your jump starter is beeping because you may have a fault in either the jump starter or the car battery. These can include:

  • Over-current protection,
  • Over-load protection,
  • Over-voltage protection,
  • Over-charge protection
  • High-temperature protection.

Why is my jump starter beeping

If the jump starter is on and the green light is on then this is normal.

If the jump starter is off and you have a red light that is flashing then you have a short circuit. When you hear a beeping sound then a reverse polarity is detected.

Is 15w wireless charging fast?

Is 10w wireless charging fast? Yaber wireless jumpstarter
Yaber wireless jumpstarter charging Samsung phone.

Yes, Most compatible Android phones can only use up to 10W when being charged wirelessly – though some claim to be able to use 15W of power if available.

It will be slightly slower than using a USB Type C cable with a fast charge wall outlet point.

iPhones currently are rated at 7.5W of power charge rate. So the 10w included in these Jump starters are more than enough.

How long does a jump start battery last?

You will be able to get more than 7 years out of a lithium-ion jump start battery. Older lead-acid jump-start batteries are rated for around 4 years before they lose their charge capacity.

The Yaber 2500 jump starter is rated at 30 starts before you fully drain the internal battery. This is an approximate value as different car engine starter motors require different peak amps starting current.

The larger the car engine size the more jump-starting power it will require. You can read more about what size jump starter for different engines here.

How long does a car battery last?

How long does a car battery last

You should be able to get 3 to 5 years out of a car battery before it begins to lose capacity and is unable to start your car. To keep your battery in tip-top shape and prevent battery sulfation is to charge it up fully every few months.

I use a Ctek smart charger for motorcycles and cars and it has been very good at keeping my 12v batteries fully charged.

A good preventative measure is to replace your battery after 4 years. You will be surprised how quickly your car will start with a fresh battery.

Can a car battery be too dead to jump start?

Yes, sometimes a battery can be so dead that trying to jump-start the car will only raise the battery voltage to under 12v. This is due to a battery short or sulfation in the cells.

In this case, it would be better to disconnect the battery terminals and connect them directly to the wireless jump starter.

Some jump starters do require a minimum voltage before they will activate. So it will be trial and error if your jump starter supports no car battery jump starting.

After jumping a car how long should it run to charge the battery?

You should run the car for at least 30 minutes after jump-starting your car to enable the battery to charge up.

If you still have issues starting your car you could have a defective battery or a faulty alternator. You can check your alternator by using a multimeter set to DC volts.

Start the car, at idle, most charging systems will produce 13.8 to 14.3 volts DC. Turn on all the lights, air-con and radio, you should see a voltage still around 13.5 to 14.3 volts. Any less and you could have a problem.

BEATIT G18 2000A Review

The specs on the Beatit looks very good. If you can get it cheaper than the Yaber 2500A Jump starter with wireless charging capabilities then go for it.

The internal battery is only 2800mAh less than the Yaber unit. In real-world situations, this is about one full charge on a smartphone.

The peak amps are also 500A less. This is not a big deal as 2000A+ will start any vehicle you have. Unless it is 24V but that is another story.

I would have no issues recommending any of these models.

Conclusion

If you can get the Beatit 2000A jump starter with wireless charging for a good price then go for it. Both of these models mentioned are of great value, and you will have no issues starting any vehicle, boat, or ATV around.

Plus it gives you the cool option of wireless charging your phones if supported.

Just be sure to recharge them every 3 months if not in use to make sure they stay in tip-top condition.

Keep your jump starter out of direct sunlight and in a cool place. Lithium-ion batteries don’t like high temperatures.
