The Hurricane Spin Scrubber Review
I normally don’t buy products as seen on TV but this is the exception. The Hurricane Spin Scrubber cut through hard soap scum, scale, and mildew with the brilliant power of the lightweight cordless scrubber.
This tool will help you clean even the most stubborn of stains in your shower and bath areas. It is tough, rigid, and strong. Hurricane Spin Scrubber cordless cleaner will scrub 300 times per minute but will require the help of your favorite soap for best results.
We use Kaboom with OxiClean Shower, Tub & Tile Cleaner with manual brush scrubbing, before getting the power scrubber and its increased the cleaning results 10x better using the same tile cleaner.
You still need to put in a little bit of effort but it defiantly makes cleaning bathrooms faster.
This power spin scrubber not only helps your lower back due to the extension pole but it does a really good job of cleaning! My bathtub actually looks brand new and shiny. It actually took all the orange / brown stains away from the sinks and baths due to the hard water we have. I was impressed.
We tend to use the extension pole all the time, this saves us going down on our knees when cleaning the floor. It’s the best scrubber for back pain.
This spin scrubber is powered by a 3.6-volt rechargeable battery, so you can recharge and go again No need to replace the batteries. The 21-inch aluminum extendable handle enables you to easily reach and clean every inch of your tub and shower. The total length is 44 inches overall.
We even thought outside the box and cleaned pots and pans. Did a good job but can get a bit awkward holding a pan in one hand, and the Hurricane Scrubber in the other.
Putting the Hurricane Spin Scrubber together
The spin scrubber will require some simple click together assembly. There are 3 pieces that simply push into position and click lock tight.
The battery is housed in the handle, which makes the balance of the spin scrubber nice since the motor is in the head of the unit. The extension pole lets you extend the reach of the Hurricane Spin Scrubber to over 1m to get to those hard to reach areas like the top tiles of the shower.
But you don’t need to use the extension pole. If you want a small hand-held cleaning wand, for areas around taps or behind the toilet, you just have to click the spin head and the handle together for a nice short lightweight unit. Perfect for use in all tight to get to places in your bathroom, kitchen and toilet areas.
What Brushes are included?
There are 3 spinning brush heads included with every Hurricane Spin Scrubber. These spinning nylon heads passed all the tests we threw at them, and we were pleasantly surprised by the results.
- The Dome Brush for use on shower walls and larger areas.
- Corner Brush is best for individual tiles groves and getting into the corners of tiles, faucets, and crevices.
- The flat brush head is used for power cleaning to get stain and mildew areas polished clean.
If you require replacement Hurricane cleaning heads you can buy the 3 pack from Amazon. Just click the picture below.
The Hurricane Spin Scrubber is water-resistant but not waterproof so don’t fully immerse it in the water like the toilet bowl.
Test your spin scrubber in an inconspicuous place if you have any fiberglass or plastic products that you would like cleaned. The Hurricane Spin Scrubber may scratch these items. That means take care if you want to use it on your car, boat, Jet-ski, or Hot Tub. So be careful. On tile and glass its fine.
As Seen on TV
We have all seen the advertisements on TV with the Hurricane spin scrubber, there is also another product called the Quickie Tub N’ Tile Power Scrubber which is more expensive but to me looks like the same product just a different color. Like many manufacturers, once one product comes out that is successful, many will try to copy it or re-brand it as their own. Not sure who is copying who but they both get great reviews on Amazon and other places. So if you’re in the market for a spin scrubber get the Hurricane Spin and save some money.
What other products does Hurricane make?
Well, there is the famous Hurricane Spin Mop 360. Every kitchen should have one of these for an accidental spill and general mopping up. As they say “Never touch dirty water again.” With over 1000 positive reviews for a spinning mop and bucket, I just had to get one myself. It’s also great to see a company supporting its products with replacement parts. Hurricane 360 Spin Mop Replacement Heads can be found here
Then there is the Hurricane Spin Dolly. No, it’s not a girls doll, it’s a cart with wheels to push you spin mop bucket around. So as you can see Hurricane do make a couple of #1 spin cleaning products. Manufactured by TeleBrands and sold through call centers.
Don’t buy it on TV, and give your credit card to some stranger over the phone. Who knows what will happen to your credit card details.
Thats how I think my credit card was compromised last year.
All these products are sold on Amazon have a proven track record of fast deliveries with great service.
Hurricane Spin Scrubber vs Turbo Scrub 360
The Turbo Scrub 360 is another power scrubber that is sold on TV with similar specifications to the Hurricane Scrubber. It gets good reviews, very similar to the Hurricane.
These 2 products look very similar and have just about the same specs. But prices do fluctuate so check them both out. If you can get it cheaper it may be a good buy.
Another product that I have just started to see advertised is the Clorox Multipurpose Spin Scrubber. Which once again has very similar specifications. As the Hurricane is often out of stock you can’t really go wrong with any of these other two.
At the end of the day, the Hurricane spin scrub will help you save time and avoid injury. All the kids want a go cleaning the shower now. Hopefully, it’s not a fad and they will continue doing a job I hate doing. It’s currently the #1 best scrubber on the market and is cheaper than the competition, which makes it a win in my books.
At the end of the day based on our month-long testing, Hurricane Spin Scrubber’s extension wand and rotating head sure did make it easier to remove calcium build-up. I also washed away soap scum from showers, sinks, and bathtubs. Provided you use some sort of cleaning agent. CLR clear is great for calcium build up.
Mechanical scrubbers will sure help people with back pain and arthritis, who have trouble holding onto a scrubbing-brush as well as kneeling down.
Go check out all the 4 and 5 star, positive reviews of the Hurricane Spin Scrubber at Amazon.
