Now there are many different brands of motorcycles on the market. As they get smarter many will start to show error codes when something goes wrong. The engine check light is often used to notify the owner that there is an issue on the motorcycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this post, we will show you how to reset the check engine light on most motorcycles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Often disconnecting the battery for a few minutes will reset most engine check light fault codes. But they will come back again if the problem is not rectified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using an OBD2 scanner and adaptor cable for your motorcycle will often diagnose the fault and reset the code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The good old piece of duct tape over the engine fault code light also hides the problem. (Just kidding)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To reset fault codes without disconnecting the battery check the following procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now for this, you will require a 6-pin ODB2 cable converter for Kawasaki<\/a> and an OBD2 reader. Either Bluetooth or a standalone unit will be fine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Connect the OBD2 scanner and turn on the motorcycle. Read any fault codes and rectify them. Press clear\/erase codes to clear from memory. Turn off the motorcycle unplug the OBD2 and congratulations the engine check light error code is gone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
