For a while now Microsoft has been offering Office to employees of Volume Licensing of Office at a very cheap price. This just recently they have released Office 2016 as part of their Home Use Program for only $15. Worldwide (Mostly but at different Prices)

Home Use Program – What you need to do to get Office 2016 for $15 Legally
If your company has an Enterprise Agreement with Microsoft and they opt into this program, then you are able to participate. Depending on the country you live in will determine the price you pay. But usually between $9-$15
To check if you qualify go to www.microsofthup.com and put you work email address into the check box. If you don’t have a Program Code click the link that says “ Don’t Know You Program Code” and a check will be done using your email address only.
If you are eligible for the Home Use Program Microsoft will send you a link to install Office 2016 for PC or Mac to your Work Email address. As the link will download and install your software its best to forward your email to your home address PC where you will be installing Office 2016.
Installing Office 2016:
Once you have clicked Buy Now you will need to pay via credit card or PayPal. You will then be given your Serial Install Key and options to Download and Install. You can also include for an extra fee some backup media like a DVD of office to be sent out. Be sure to right down or copy all serial keys and take a back up of the downloaded software.
So What is included in Office Professional Plus 2016?
Office Professional Plus 2016 includes:
- Word,
- Excel,
- PowerPoint,
- Outlook,
- OneNote,
- Access,
- Publisher,
- Skype for Business.
Update:
If you are having problems sending email with Outlook 2016 and Windows 10 check out this fix here. It’s mainly affecting Telstra Bigpond users but there have been other reports of sending issues with other ISPs.
Office Professional 2016 is a fantastic upgrade from Office 2013 so even if you have Office Professional 2013 go ahead and spend the $15 and get the newer version you wont be disappointed
